HIGHLY RECOMMEND!  I've been in the real estate development business for over 25 years. I've worked with hundreds of contractors (big and small) for all sorts of projects (HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.).  Mountain House Mechanical has been by far, without a doubt, the smoothest and most professional vendor I've ever hired. This was no small project. Mitsubishi mini-split system with two outdoor units and 6 indoor units. They took their time, the install was impeccable. Communication was superb. After dealing with a mini-split issue for over a year and having multiple people unable to fix it, Tyler from Mountain House Mechanical finally solved the problem. He was professional, reliable,  thorough, and clearly knew what he was doing. I’m beyond happy with the outcome and truly grateful for his excellent work. My A/C stopped working on a very hot evening and it was to late too call for any service. Had a chance to look through lots of reviews for a repair and settled on Mountain House Mechanical after reading all of the positive reviews. I called the next morning and spoke with Mikayla who was able to get Tyler out to service my unit the same afternoon. Tyler was great! He did his diagnostics and determined I had a faulty control board. He would have to order the part. Knowing that the remainder of the week was going to be toasty, he told me that he could make my A/C work until he came back with the part and that my system would work, but the fan would be on 24/7, even when the air was off. he told me that if the fan being on bothered me, to just unplug it. So Tyler took the time to do that for me. I'm not sure if other A/C repair services would even offer to do that for their customers. Tyler returned with the new part, answered all my questions and was very kind, knowledgeable, and professional. I felt very comfortable with Tyler. There were no high pressure sales pitches or service plans pushed on me, he just fixed the problem. We had Tyler and his brother install our system a couple of years back. They were great and the system has worked flawlessly. We noticed what we thought was a problem and called to make an appointment. Tyler showed up, explained to us that this was a normal behavior that we just didn’t fully understand and how to compensate for it. He did not charge us for the house visit. Tyler from Mountain House Mechanical was fantastic. He showed up right on time and was incredibly professional from start to finish. He serviced and cleaned my mini-split unit, explained its functionality clearly, and even took the time to educate my tenant on how to operate it efficiently. While he was here, I asked him to take a look at the main house heating unit, and he quickly discovered a wire that was rubbing against the fan…something that could’ve led to major problems if left unchecked. He repaired, cleaned, and inspected it thoroughly. What really stood out was the honesty and value. His pricing was so reasonable I felt compelled to give him a generous tip. UKIAH, CALIFORNIA: They installed a brand new unit(heating/cooling) for my two story home(1,500sqft). I had called 5 different companies for quotes(some lagged heavily, couldn't get me on the books for weeks, overpriced). MHM was able to come access the house and provide a quote in less than 1 hour. By far the fastest and most efficient from all other 4 companies. They explained the process i did my first payment they got me on the books the next week completed in less than 3 days installations. Today i had to get my energy calculations done with a 3rd party inspection on the HVAC had ZERO issues passing. They have always been super on top of everything. Great Price. Great quality. A superb company and one of the best experiences we have ever had with any contractor providing home improvement and/or services. Fair pricing, clear communication throughout the entire project from initial quote to final walkthrough at the end of the installl. The quality of the install - how clean and efficient the install and entire project looks and performs surpassed all expectations we had going into the project. We had a complete reconstruction of an old and outdated (and from what we learned undersized) duct system with all new registers and boots and relocation of our return air; in addition had an entire new A/C system installed (equipment, electrical hookup and pairing with our existing furnace and heating system). A simple review and words alone can’t begin to capture how absolutely pleased we were with the whole experience- and in addition to all the work done, we were most impressed with the people - Tyler with the initial walk through and talking to us and educating us on the details of the quote (with options presented and each explained clearly):  the install and daily work performed by Gabe (just an amazing person whom executed a great install, made the whole experience so pleasant; while explaining the process and always communicating clearly to us as he moved alon; and Mikaela facilitating the scheduling and quickly answering practical paperwork questions which made the whole experience so seamless and easy. We just had Mountain Home install 4 mini split units and a compressor in our 1950’s home and I couldn’t be more thrilled. Gabe and Tyler are great communicators as well as being fast, reliable, extremely neat, respectful and kind. After seeing what this project takes, I’m so relieved that we didn’t try to buy these ourselves and have some random handy person install them – if I had had any idea how extensive a job this is I would’ve never even considered that! Gabe deserves a Big $$ Raise! Gabe kept us posted each morning with an ETA and arrived on time as expected. He was very thorough in all aspects of his job, including electrical, plumbing and HVAC work related items. No issues whatsoever. Clean, professional work done by Gabe all around. Very professional, calm, pleasant nice professional demeanor 100% of the time. Thorough cleanup each day. Gabe deserves a raise as I said earlier! Mitsubishi 4 ton heat pump unit installed along with additional blower fan to balance out house temperature among both floors as our original furnace was located On the second floor having to push warm air downwards. Tyler on the front end was also excellent, he gave us all numbers with several detailed options upfront The very first time we met. I can recommend Mountain House Mechanical without any reservation whatsoever.  Tyler paid close attention to what I wanted and explained what he thought was feasible.  The resulting heat pump and associated air handler installation is exceptional.  It doesn't appear to be a retrofit at all.  Rather, it looks as if it is part of the home's original equipment. They gave me a straightforward, no-nonsense estimate, recommended the right equipment for my situation, and didn’t try to upsell anything I didn’t need. It was refreshingly professional. Scheduling was fast — they were able to install my new heat pump in less than a week. The crew showed up exactly when they said they would, worked efficiently, and finished in the time frame they promised. No surprises, no drama. Because a heat pump behaves differently from my old gas heater, I wanted a few adjustments after living with it for a bit. Tyler came back out, listened to what I was experiencing, made the tweaks on the spot, and dialed everything in perfectly. Great communication, solid work, and excellent follow-through. Tyler from Mountain House did an amazing job replacing the blower in our heater.  He came all the way from Santa Rosa to Sea Ranch to do the diagnosis, and then offered to come back the same night (after it was already dark!) to replace the blower after he got the part back in Santa Rosa.  He was super easy to talk to, gave me a fair price, and refused my offer to pay him extra for the multiple trips out to Sea Ranch. Mountain House was fantastic to work with, from the assessment and bidding process with Tyler to the installation with Gabe, they were communicative, friendly and knowledgeable.  Gabe was particularly impressive, doing so much work in so little time. We had been without heat for over 2 weeks and they got us on the schedule as soon as we let them know we were going with them to do the work.
